Mike was inspired by close up magic when very young. By the age of 11yrs he was performing classic professional effects, learned from books recommended by the Magic Circle. He entertained family, friends and teachers at school, university and work. His 5 star rating, consistent over the whole of 20 years of performing professional standard magic (numerous independent reviews) reflects the way he continually  updates and refines his act. This includes Mike’s own spin on classic effects, as well as ones of his own devising.

Mike was formerly a top rated independent course developer and trainer, working in the UK and abroad. His specialism was excellence in teaching, including fostering creativity.

Mike lives in Settle, in the Yorkshire Dales. He appreciates the beautiful countryside around and has a range of hobbies and interests, including cooking, history, archaeology, science and literature.
